Who we are
Sentinel Digital [registered company name], company number [number], registered at [registered address]. For anything in this policy, write to privacy@sentineldigital.com.
What we collect
If you fill in the contact form, we get your name, email address, and whatever you write in the message, plus the company and ad spend range if you tell us. If you subscribe to The Sentinel Brief, we get your email address.
We also collect ordinary analytics: pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and which site sent you. That data is aggregated and we cannot tie it back to you as a person.
We do not collect payment details on this site, and we do not run advertising pixels that follow you around other websites.
Why we have it
Contact form data is used to answer you and, if we end up working together, to run the engagement. Newsletter data is used to send you the newsletter. Analytics is used to work out which pages are worth improving. That is the complete list.
Our lawful basis under UK and EU data protection law is legitimate interest for replying to an enquiry you started, and consent for the newsletter.
Who else sees it
Our email provider, our newsletter platform, and our hosting company process this data on our behalf under contract. We do not sell it, rent it, or swap lists with anyone. If a client engagement means sharing something with a subcontractor, we ask you first.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted after 24 months. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe, and every email has a one click link for that. Client records are kept for [six] years after the engagement ends because our accountants require it.
Cookies
The site sets cookies for analytics and, if you are logged into WordPress, for your session. Nothing here needs cookies to function for a normal visitor, so declining them costs you nothing. Your browser settings can block them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email privacy@sentineldigital.com and we will do it inside 30 days. If you are in the UK you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. In the EU, to your national supervisory authority. In California, the CCPA gives you similar rights and we handle those requests the same way.
Changes
If we change how any of this works we will update the date at the top. Material changes get an email to anyone on the newsletter list.
